Cyclists coming out of Deal's Gateway (which is the end of a very useful cycle path) are cannon fodder for traffic coming out of Greenwich High Road and turning right onto the A2. The cars presume priority and don't even realise that they ... [more]

Cycling should be permitted on this footpath so that cyclists can exit the park on the Western side instead of being forced North and onto the Greenwich gyratory. At the moment, they have to dismount and walk for 200 metres - ok, but not ... [more]

A contra flow cycle lane needed: any cyclist coming down through the park (there are very many) otherwise gets thrown into the one way system. Children (and others) living in West Greenwich could avoid this if it were possible to cycle We ... [more]

King William walk needs a cycle lane Southbound as it is used by hundreds of cyclists everyday to get from the foot tunnel up into the park. In reality, most cycle the wrong way down the one way road anyway but this should be made safer an ... [more]

The cycle path disappears at the start of the Blackwall Tunnel - making riding to North Greenwich station an unwelcoming prospect.

Proper access to the Thames Path is needed at the Bugsbys Way/ Peartree Way roundabout - currently cyclists have to risk their lives on the roundabout or use a pedestrian crossing.

Slowing down traffic at the Bugsbys Way/ Anchor & Hope Lane roundabout would help cyclists access the Thames Path.

Allowing cyclists to proceed north/south between Anchor and Hope Lane/ Charlton Church Lane would help - currently this is bus only.

Allowing cyclists to use the Greenwich Peninsula busway would be useful.

This cuts across two boroughs, but blocking the South Row/ Kidbrooke Gardens rat run to cars would make it more attractive to cyclists.

Allowing cycling along the path from St John's Path to Charlton Way - see what Lewisham Council has done at Long Pond Road, also the work Lambeth has done on Clapham Common - would help create a coherent cycle way from Greenwich Park toward ... [more]

St John's Park/ Stratheden Road junction - difficult for cyclists travelling eastbound along St John's Park due to one-way traffic around church. Allowing cycling against the flow on southern arm of St John's Park for first few metres would ... [more]

Major junction. Intimidating.

Kidbrooke Park Road - a busy cut-through, but no facilities for cyclists who have to face aggressive behaviour from drivers. Greenwich Council recently provided cycle parking at Thomas Tallis school, but did nothing to address the problems ... [more]

The break in the Thames Path between the Thames Barrier in Charlton and King Henry's Wharf in Woolwich needs fixing as a matter of urgency - mayoral pressure could help.

There's no cycle access to the Thames cycle route from Charlton Lane here - creating easy access to the safe route along the river would encourage more cycling.

It's not just the appalling Woolwich Road flyover - attention should be paid into putting in measures on the roads on the Greenwich Peninsula to enable North Greenwich station to become a hub for cyclists. Currently it's the worst of 1990s ... [more]

I agree with the other poster, this round about is tilted in a way that it is difficult for a cyclist to be seen by approaching vehicles. Cycle access from the ferry to westbound Woolwich High Street needs to be improved.

The section of Woolwich Road between Charlton Church Lane/Anchor & Hope Lane and the A102 roundabout is due to be downgraded from an A road. It is a wide road, that can easily accommodate standard width and seprated cycle lanes with resdie ... [more]

Woolwich Road flyover - there is currently a ghost bike there to demonstrate that a cyclist was killed on it a while ago. The roundabout underneath the flyover is dark, complicated and very busy. It needs a complete redesign and there i ... [more]

no crossing point north to south or vice versa

There is a blind corner just after the Royal Arsenal grounds as you go towards the white tower buildings. Exactly at the blue swirling stairs. This is a very dangerous point and I'm sure everyone that uses this route would agree. Can these ... [more]

A lethal crossroads, especially given that a busy cycle route feeds onto Deals Gateway from Broadway Fields. Southbound traffic from Greenwich High Road assumes it has right of way turning westwards onto the A2, cutting right across any n ... [more]

The Yorkshire Grey; a large roundabout on the South Circular with 4 main exits (i.e the South Circular itself plus Eltham Hill and Eltham Road), plus a less busy side road (which is also a bus route) and a single width one way street leadin ... [more]

The section of Cycle Route 1 around Woolwich High Street/Thames barrier area, you have to rejoin the very busy main road after being traffic free from Erith.

It is very dangerous for cyclist to access westbound Woolwich High Street from the Woolwich Ferry due to the size of this roundabout.

a major shopping complex is being built on this site. Greenwich Coucil agreed to downgrade this road but we need to make sure they stick to their commitment. All traffic in and out of the new complex should go via Bugsbys Way, makeing Woo ... [more]

Yup, Greenwich's one-way system around the market is a nightmare for both cyclists and pedestrians and is completely at odds with the otherwise very tourist/people friendly vibe that this area promotes.

There are so many half baked, tokenistic cycle lanes around it's hard to know where to start. I'd turn central Greenwich into a pedestrianised zone with cycle lanes and create a dedicated cycle lane for Romney Road/Trafalgar Road.

This junction is well known for being very dangerous, particularly for northbound cyclists leaving the cycle path because vehicles coming from Greenwich and turning right into New Cross Road seem to assume they have right of way. There need ... [more]

A pedestrian crossing is needed to the east of this roundabout. When (inexperienced/large groups of) cyclists emerge from Ruston Road, wishing to cycle west, they need some assistance in tackling this roundabout. To approach the pedestria ... [more]

Greenwich one way system. Need easy access through Greenwich to the foot tunnel

Deptford and Greenwich. The current Deptford crossing is very dangerous. Greenwich needs improving but NOT with a large one way system
