[UPDATE: #185215] [Image taken 4.3.22] The York Tap, York rail station, York. Two men, one woman, with cycles at the York Tap (yorktap.com/). (The other two bikes were leant against the wall behind the man in the fluoro top left in the image.) There’s no (longer?) a rack here. I took a photo and asked, If there had been a rack here, would you have used it? Of course! was the reply. I explained I have been lobbying for cycle parking at the station. “Lobby LNER” was the immediate response. I thought they meant the station owners – LNER – but was surprised they knew this. About carrying cycles on their trains, they continued. They had struggled but said, One lad with three-inch wide wheels on his mountain bike couldn’t even get his bike on. Other image missing cycle parking here: #169923, #178207. Elsewhere in the station: #173702. Hooks on trains: #174286 and #173854. Other image today: #179570.
